That's not quite right: a lumen is a unit of luminous flux, or the rate at which light energy is emitted from a source. Time is implied in the lumen. A lux is a measurement of illumination (i.e., light incident on or striking a surface), and illumination is measured in terms of luminous flux per unit area. Lux and footcandles are used to measure that luminous flux, where lux is metric (1 lux = 1 lumen per square meter); and footcandle is US (1 footcandle = 1 lumen per square foot). So you can't really "separate" lumens from lux (or footcandles).

Wow, just read through all 22 pages. Great entrepreneurial endeavor with drive and determination to see it through!!! Kudos, Brother. As I'm a new forum member and working on a somewhat larger project, have you developed a bracket for the Road Armor bumpers? These are the holes I need to fill and would like to use the Rigid R Series lights as well. Keep up the good work.
