Default Reverse Light Wires

So I installed one of those 60" LED light strips on the bottom of my tailgate and I'm happy with it. The only stumbling block (for me...LOL) is that it also has white lights for when in reverse mode, and I'm not sure which wire to tap in to on my taillight. After removing one of the taillights, it appears that there are 2 wires which go directly to the white reverse bulb, one blue & one black. So which one of those is the hot one I need to tap into with the wire coming from the LED strip? Thanks in advance!

ETA: the blue wire is the positive one & the black one is the negative one. Hooked my light strip's reverse wire to the blue one (used a heat shrink connector) and all is good.

Didn't it come with instructions? I wired in one of those of my truck but it's been a few years and I don't remember it specially. I just followed the instructions it came with and was all good, had the white reverse lights too
