Has anybody upgraded their OEM Bed Lights to the Recons? Part# 26417FD? How do you like them? They're supposed to be brighter but I wonder if the quality is not as good as OEM.

I have these now. I'm waiting on the OEM bedlight kit, but debating whether to swap the OEM ones out with these. Yeah they put out more light and seem alright build quality I guess and I'm going to compare when I get everything wired up. I don't have the OEM piece at the moment to compare to at the moment.

They kinda seem a little bit cheap. Maybe just me. Don't want to swap out a superior quality OEM part with a less reliable part that gets moisture inside. I don't see much reviews on these anywhere so I might send them back......does anybody have them??

 

i built my own for under $25. got a 16' led roll from amazon, a toggle switch (mounted in the left side of the bed) and wired it into the charging wire on the trailer hitch. works perfectly, super bright and nothing can be seen

I got the Ford OEM kit. I'm going to run to the Recon ones. I did a prelimerary test and the Recons are much brighter

I'm going to run the Recons as soon as I get my bed light kit installed. Much brighter than stock. I'll keep the stockers just in case the Recons fail.
