I purchased Akkon LED tail lights for my 2003 F-150. Direct connect. Plug and play. They are so bright, they look like my brakes are always on, but when I do press the brakes, they actually do get a little brighter. I had my wife drive the truck, while I followed behind her, and they are definitely brighter then all the other vehicles. Has anyone ever had this issue?

 

That happens with some of the lower quality leds. I feel they’re not very safe as you can barely tell if you’re braking or not.

Put the stocks back on with an LED such as the red sylvania zevo. The running light vs brake and signal has a large contrast.
