Default OPT7 Sequential LED Running Board Lights

This weekend I pulled the trigger on the OPT7 LED lights. I will see about uploading a video later. It took me almost as long to research the schematics online, trying to figure out the wiring, than it did to do the actual install. I ended up running the yellow\red\black wiring up to the headlights, and splicing them up to the turn signal lights. I did drill a small hole up through the floor board to splice the white wire into the lighting for the interior lights. Everything works great. I will suggest that you do not use the blue quick splice connectors. The blues seem a bit to big for the 22 gauge wires of the OPT7 kit. It took me several tries to get the the first connector to get through the insulation of the white wire. I bought some of the red quick connectors, and they worked much better. If you decided to do this install, make sure you do a thorough job of cleaning the area where the lights will run. I used a cleaner, then alcohol to clean the area. I think they look great.

I did the same….blinkers and amber “running” lights to head lights….did the entrance lights to the cargo light. Super easy! I went through the rocker pinch weld to the OEM floor pan grommets for the cargo/entrance lighting
