Default Opening Headlight

Hi,
Tonight I’ve been struggling to disassemble my headlights and am back at square one.
So I have the HID projector headlights and am trying to take them apart. What all do I need to remove from the headlight in order to bake them. I’ve removed everything except one piece which is difficult to remove. It’s the little black box connected to the projector lens which two wires are connect to. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I don't have experience with the hid version however I did make a few other headlight assemblies and I found slow and low to work.
I have to go back and do some digging but point is use a slightly lower temperature but because of that you could eat leave it in longer without risk of melting the plastic.
I tried some of the higher temperature options on my first headlight with the shorter time frames and I noticed that the glue would not fully soften and it took several attempts to get it disassembled.
when I did my F250 I used the lower temp and let it bake for something like 30 minutes the plastic was still pretty solid however the glue easily pulled apart and the glue was hot vs tacky like my 1st attempt.

Good luck 👍

Yep, low and slow. If you heat it too high, you'll melt the plastic. Use lower temps for longer times and keep working at it. It may take 2, 3, or more times in the oven to get the glue soft enough to release without damaging the plastic. Keep us posted.
