've had absolutely no issues with either of the PIAA driving lights. I originally had the PIAA HID driving lights and just love them. But like you said, constant ON/OFF will kill the bulb. So I got a set of LP570 LED driving lights. At first I removed the HID lights and put the LED lights in their place. But, although they are good, they just don't have the reach and brightness of the HID lights. Plus they looked a bit small on the front of the truck. But I still wanted the ability to cycle the lights as traffic approached. My solution was to put the HID driving lights back in place, then drill two holes in my brushguard (In between the HID's) to also mount the LED driving lights. So I did some measuring, a lot of measuring, then drilled?.......and got it right the first time. Here's a few pics of the truck with just the HID's. The first pic is the day we put them on (my brother-in-law helped). Then with the LED driving lights, then how she is now.

That's a good looking setup you got! I mounted my vision x lights last night at a friends house and got to test them out too. They were aimed so high that I couldn't use the lights except to see the squirrels sleeping 100feet up haha I might keep those PIAA led lights in mind for future stuff

What are the smaller ones on the bottom? Hows the beam on them.

FredB, The lights in the lower grill opening are a set of PIAA 2100i (i for the yellow ion hue), Long Range Foul Weather driving lights. I know that sounds like an Oxy, but they work for me. They are a Fog light. Instead of a traditional 45 or 60 Fog beam pattern, they are a 25 degree driving beam pattern. They reach about as far as my HID Low Beams. Last Tuesday I had my monthly pain management doctors appointment for my back. It was after dark and the snow was really coming down. The low beams made it nearly impossible to see any further than a few yards. I clicked these on along with the factory fogs (I have PIAA ion bulbs in them), and it was much better. Once I was out of traffic I could shut off the headlights altogether and my seeing distance doubled. No glare from the headlights. So yea, I love them. First pic shows how they look from the front. Then a pic of the factory Fog beams on along with the LP570 driving lights. Then a pic of the Low beams and the PIAA Fog lights on. You can see where the beam lands in the middle. It's hard to see in the pic, just doesn't do them justice.
Here's a couple quick pics of both sets of the driving lights on. No beam pattern to see, but you can see the difference in Temperature. The RS600 HID's (the outer set with white trim) are 4,300K I believe, and the LP570 LED's are 5000K.
