Default New LEDs

2014 F150 XLT. I purchased some new LEDs yesterday from Diode Dynamics here in STL. I installed the rear tail lights with resistors but still get hyper flashing, probably used the wrong wires. On the driver I believe I used the black and grey and passenger side black and purple/pink. Someone said it should be the black and yellow/green wires for all rear lights? I'll also be putting in a switchback turn signal in the front, what wires should be used? Thanks!

With all the resistors front and rear use the outer 2 wires on each plug, there are 3 wires total so leave the middle one alone...

On the rears did you use 1 resistor per bulb? You should have 4 resistors total.

Yes, that's how I currently have it installed. I've spiced into the outer two wires on all connections. I used 4 resistors in the back and will use 2 in the front.

I may need to go back and make sure the splice is getting a good connection, but both are hyperflashing. Or buy a circuit tester...

They told me to make sure the resistor is getting hot.

I', not sure if it matters or not but I put the black negative on the resistor to the solid black wire on the plug then the red wire on the resistor to the other outer wire on the plug.

Are they 50w 6ohm resistors?

From what I've researched the resistors do not have polarity. Yes they are 50w 6ohm.

I don't think they do have polarity...

Maybe give DD a call and see what they recommend?

Passenger rear. Black and Violet wires are the correct ones to splice using the resistors. Rear driver side wires are black and grey. I bought a circuit tester and tested the socket just to make sure. Also make sure that the splice is fully engaged with the wires.

I'll be putting the switchbacks in the front turn signals and post some pics.

I was trying to decide between doing this or getting brand new aftermarket tails? I have a fx2.

I went onto amazon looking at what they offer and most say that you can just purchase a LED flasher relay to replace our in our trucks. i think ours is a 5 prong 12v 150-162 watts and this is suppose to fix hyper flashing with out installing resistors and splicing wires.
