Default new HID projectors and C-bar LED switchbacks

I've had a retrofitted headlights in my previous car. almost 4yrs to the date when I bought the truck, I finally tackled this project. purchased on black friday and finally used some vacation time last week to install them. the installation overall was easy, the hardest part was removing the OEM permaseal on the headlights. took some time but got it all done. did it all in one day. I stuck with the same bulbs from factory for now. will probably change them later in the year. the cutoff and output is 10x better than factory. love the cutoff, will get a proper cutoff photo soon. just limited photos. didn't even take any during the install but the projectors are direct swap with zero modification needed. with the EvoX-R 2.0, you can use the same bulbs so no need for new ballast or bulbs and harness.

Damn, wish someone made an install guide for how to do this with pictures. I want to do this as well as paint my housing black, but "'m worried that I'll break something and cost myself 1600 dollars for a new set.

actually - i'd leave them chrome being you have chrome trim. IMO black with chrome doesn't flow well. just take the lights off - remove all the screws from the back along with all the bulbs. throw them in the oven and crack them open. once you got it open - it's all straight forward.

I’m in the process of deleting all, or at least most of the chrome. The reason I’m afraid to do it is because I’ve seen a few YouTube videos of other people doing it on different headlights and end up breaking them.

yanki, can you please post a wall photo of your beam?

I have the EvoX-R 1.0 and i used to have such a beautiful blue cutoff, my drivers side bowl has a burn in it and my passenger side beam is now a bit browned as well. I'm thinking of opening mine back up to replace with the 2.0 or the new ZKW-R projectors from Morimoto.

here's a half *****ed output shot. love the color. i put Osram 66340 CBI bulbs in a few months ago. very noticeable compared to the stock HID bulbs which i had for about 4.5yrs.
