Default LED replacements in halogen housing

So my wife for our anniversary got me the putco silverlux pro series. I installed them but no part or the directions stated which way the led chip should be facing. I have it facing down now and to say the least the light output is horrible. I'm not blinding anyone no need to readjust as literally it seems like my halogen were superior. Anyone know if the chip should be facing up before I go through pulling the assembly out? If that's the case no issue I just didn't want to go through it and have the same outcome. Rather go through 4x4truckleds for a new set and sell the ones my wife got me at a very nice discount to recoup the spending on new ones if need be.

As you can see not blinding anyone including the person in behind by about 25 feet. Not even shining into their vehicle

The LED Diodes should be at 3 and 9 oclock, if you have XHP50 chips (that's the diodes on both sides). Those are used in the halogen housings. The XHP70 chips, that's the projector style with one single LED diode, should have the diode at 12 oclock. however those should only be used in projector housings.

Now the Silverlux Pros are a single XHP70 diode I believe, so if you don't have projector housings and you are using them in your regular halogen housings, you have the wrong bulb type and you'll never get proper results. Silverlux pro (single XHP70 chip) should ONLY be used in projectors. You want the bulbs that have 2 XHP50 (1 on either side) for halogen housings. I'm not sure if Putcos Silverlux series are offered with the XHP50 bulbs. I'm looking at their site and only see the XHP70 single diodes. Not sure what housings you have though.

Anytime you install new bulbs you should re-align your headlights.

Hope that helps ya out.

Yeah if you have halogen housings (the regular housings from Ford) you have the wrong bulbs. You need bulbs with diodes on both sides opposed to a single diode.

We did the secrets royal beach. Swim up room, it was pretty fantastic to be honest. Quiet, adults only and food was pretty damn good.
