Default LED fog light issue.

Hey everybody,

I have some questions about replacing my stock fog light bulbs. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
My stock bulb is a 9140 12V/37Watt bulb. Not knowing the wattage I purchased a pair of jdm star led bulbs (50Watt) that fit and work but they turn off in less than 20 seconds. I'm assuming this is due to the wattage increase. The fuse doesn't blow so I'm thinking there is a an uto reset breaker. I put the stock bulbs in no problem. Am I better just buying a pair of 30 watt led fog lighbulbs or can I do something to make the bulbs work safely.

Please excuse the rookie questions/terminology

The truck is a 2011 F-150. Thanks!

I put in 9145 bulbs and it's a bit brighter. H10 bulbs are the same base as well, but you run the risk of melting the inside of your lens.

BUmp for you. Hope someone knows the answer. Higher Wattage=Higher Current Draw because the voltage stays the same (12V). Not sure of the limitations of the circuit.

According to my experience, it's no matter of the wattage if you could get the correct canbus decode. If trust me, please contact me for upgrading to LEDs, won't be disappointed. Promised! lol
