Default LED Dash Lights

I'm new to this forum and I'm sure this has been asked but I could not find it on here. So I wanted to upgrade my dash cluster lights to LED to mainly change the color currently green and I dont like it. Is it just a simple as changing out to say blue led bulbs or will it not show through and look distorted? Due to the dash numbers being green OR is it just the bulbs.
I did it to my Delorean and it looks incredible!

Oh yeah - you'll need yer soldering skills to replace the green Leds in the door/window switches and center stack, etc. Those are all tiny Surface Mount devices. And a real good magnifier, lol.

Good luck!

Hi.

For what application? Cup holders or anywhere there is no existing LED already? Sure.

Not for the cluster - the cluster uses a bulb socket for this type of LED:

The door/window switches use a 1206 SMD chips

The HVAC, steering wheel buttons and Headlight switches uses Surface Mount PLCC-2 SMT LEDs ( these appear to be supplied by Oznium only ).

And if you have a floor shifter, a #194 Led will do nicely there to light up the gear position window.

Hi.

I suppose you could shoehorn them in anywhere - as long as you have access to 12v - since these already have built-in resistors.

The ones I was referring to above are these: http://www.oznium.com/plcc-2
