Default HID issues

I had HID's put in on my headlights and foglights in my 2012 a couple weeks ago. I have been manually turning my lights on and off instead of leaving them in auto bc the shop told me this would extend the life of them. I am now all of a sudden having issues with the passenger headlight not firing up on occasion and I have to turn my lights off and back on sometimes a couple times for it to fire up. One night I realized when I got home I had driven the whole way with only one headlight on. What is going on here? Any suggestions?

Did you get a relay harness with your kit?

Not sure, I had the company I bought them from install them also. I will have to ask them. Would not having a relay cause this to happen? Thanks for the reply.

Yes for sure, the inrush current to your ballasts is very high, some are around 20 amps, and if they are powering them from your factory h13 plugs it isn't enough amperage. I don't know what the factory headlight relay is rated at but you are most likely exceeding it when they fire and only allows one to stay lit.
