Default Help please :) Installing tailgate LED bar

Hello everyone! Been a little while since my last lurk session lol, I finally decided to buy something else for my truck and went with a tailgate light bar. My question is can anyone either tell me (w/pics if possible also) or link me to an installation guide on how to wire these in. It comes with a plug to plug in to the rear but if I eventually plan on towing anything I will have to unplug the bar to plug in the trailer.... so any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Needed:
Guide to install (w/pics if possible)
tools/items needed for wiring

Anyone? Mainly need to know which wires are which on the truck and what I need to do to expose and attach the wires from the bar to the truck.
Bar has Left/Right blinkers, brake light, and reverse lights.

Trying to get an idea before it gets here today. Are the trailer plug wires universal cause I doubt it's going to come with instructions for my specific truck?

It's been a while but if I remember mine had a 7 and a 4 pin and I just used the 4 pin so had the 7 pin available if needed to hook something up when towing. A lot prob depends on brand of which one you got, there's quite a few different kinds out there.

I also have a 7pin and a 4pin (I could use the 4pin for the plug portion) but this bar has reverse lights as well and that is a wire that needs to be actually attached so I figured since I have to attach the reverse wire that I could probably just wire the whole thing. Just wanted to figure out what goes to where before I get it lol Don't want to sit there for an hour once I have it trying to determine wires

I actually hardwired a four pin behind the bumper so I didn't have to splice the bar to retain the warranty on the bar and I wired it to the back of the factory four pin

Sounds interesting, where would one find a 4pin to accomplish this? (You spliced a new 4pin into the factory 4pin I take it?) also... where do I splice in the reverse lights (seperate wire entirely from the 4pin connection)

When I added my extr reverse lights under the bumper, I added a relay behind the tail light and used the reverse ligt wire there to trigger the relay, so why cant yoiu just tap into the reverse light wire there.

I got it installed and running perfect :-) spliced the reverse wire into the drivers side reverse light. When I was under the truck doing some wire management to my surprise there was a free hanging 4pin wired in to the 6 pin! Tested it by plugging in the bar and it worked! Great success.
