Headlight mod

Has anyone ever removed the piece in front of the headlight bulb on the lightning style headlights? Just curious. It seems like it blocks out a lot of light.

No it's there for a reason. Its called a glare cap, and directs the light back into the reflector to be aimed. Without it it would glare like crazy and you would blind oncoming traffic.
