Default Headlamp upgrade

Factory halogens are OK at best. There is a older thread on here saying that a slightly modified high beam bulb will fit in the low beam spot and low beam in fog light. would this mod work on a '20 ?

No, won't work. Most go with aftermarket headlights, the most popular I have found are the Alpharex Pros https://www.stage3motorsports.com/88...ogen-Only.html
Which is what I went with, they work really well and look great. it's important to get the right LEDs to upgrade them so they put out what is expected and ensure the bulbs are installed correctly. But once fitter correctly with the right LEDs, they are ten times better than OEM.

You can find high watt H11's and 9005"s to replace the 55 and 65 watt bulbs respectively. Realize the high watt bulbs will not last as long. LED headlight bulbs are available as "offroad use only" use at your own discretion. That said I use LED's, but look for quality in the bulb and the seller. Secret to good LED's is the design mimicking close as possible the dimensions and placement of the approved halogen filament, good quality, proper installation and aiming. Fitting headlight halogens into fogs can overheat the lens with nasty results, there are no legal restrictions on using LED's in the foglamps. Real good lighting can be done with a projector HID conversion but that is spendy. KM

You mention the right LED's in the Alpha Rex Pro's. Which LED's do you recommend? I have these installed with my LED's clocked 3 / 9 and I am not overwhelmed by the performance. I don't care for the beam pattern but I'm not sure if it's the LED's or the housing itself. I'm using Katana H7's in lows and highs.

Default 2017 LED Headlights

Go to the Headlight Revolution website and watch their videos. They show the differences between each headlight types.
I went with the GTR Lighting CSP Mini LED Headlights, H11 / H16 Bulbs for the low beams and the 2015 - 2017 Ford F-150 1000lm LED Reverse Light.
For high beams I went with the S-V.4 LED Headlight Bulbs from Street Ambitionz Automotive Lighting for the high beams.
The difference is dramatic!!!
