fast blink on turn signal morimoto tail lights
I've had these installed for months maybe 7 months now? no issues and love them. Twice in the past couple of weeks I've got an intermittent fast blink indicating a light is out on my driver side turn signal. I get out to check my lights and the tail light is blinking as normal, the mirror indicator is and so is the headlight acting normal. on the drive home it eventually goes back to normal. so very intermittent.
Any ideas? The only thing that I can think of is that if I remember both days that the turn signal did this was days were we had hot/sunny weather where my truck was sitting in the sun and the sun would be the warmest on the driver side as that would be from noon on full sun. I could be off in thinking the sun/heat is the cause but it is my first guess. We are in spring weather here in Canada.
I reached out to morimoto as well.

Resistor... the morimotos have a resistor on the back of them. Make sure that is actually plugged in properly and it's not loose. The light will blink normal without any resistors BUT your dash will see the resistance missing and blink fast. The resistor is that block looking thing on the back.

Does anyone have a number or contact details for Morimoto? I tried reaching them multiple times and not getting a response back. I need a new resister and getting pretty annoyed with the fast blink sound.

So just an update on this....sigh....so they sent me a new resistor for the tail lights which i had to pay the shipping costs on (30 bucks!) which seems wrong since I've only had the tail lights for 5 months...but I wanted a fix so I paid it. got the new resistor/adaptors and the connector is the wrong size...so can't install them. Also I noticed the issue when I had the tail light out that the fast blinking is the issue with the hard wired resistor, not the one you can disconnect. I fiddled with it and it looks like a loose connection or something internal to the resistor as I was able to get the fast blinking to occur just by wiggling the wire as it entered the resistor.
I contacted them again to see if they can resolve this. no response yet.I might just cut it open and see if I can local the issue then reseal it up. for 800 dollar tail lights I really want this fixed.

Not sure I understand... you said you bought them the week they were released... but you also wrote you got them 5 weeks ago. These have been out for a while not... WAY longer then 5 weeks... sooo still not sure what you paid USD as they are $475 retail which would be about $536.75 with a 13% increase for hte rate... and unless you paid $263.25 in customs that's a bit out there...
What dealer did you buy from? Sounds like you might have gotten ripped off because you are in Canada.
