Today I installed some bed lights in my 2020 STX Screw. Love them.
I ran a dedicated line from the battery to a 12v relay. The signal line to the relay is from the green/white wire found in the passenger floorboard that powers running lights when you use the fob. I also wired in a switch to bypass the relay manually. Everything works as expected.
However, my relay makes a buzzing noise when it switches on and off. My guess is that I either have a bad relay, or the wire I’m using for the signal doesn’t send enough amps to kick over the relay as designed.
anyone else have experience with this? Is there a wire in the taillight assembly I could use instead?
