I have two LED bulbs to replace my factory backup lights with. What is the procedure for gaining access to the light unit to replace the bulbs????

Drop tail gate and you'll see the two screws holding in the assembly. It's a little bit of a pain to get them out. You need to slide them back. Some of the lights are brighter.

Default Brighter? but what coverage?

I installed a couple of Cree and found they were definitely brighter but didn't do what I wanted (my mistake). I was't haven't much of a problem directly behind me I was looking for more of a 360 coverage so I can see better out my side mirrors at night (windows are tinted). Still looking for an application for my issue.

What bulbs, specifically? This may be a downgrade.

BTW - the bulb change procedure is detailed in ye Owner's Guide.

How about something like this? :-) It's like having headlights in the rear. 2 cube style LEDs attached to the bumper.
