I recently bought a 2012 F150 XL and it does not come with auto headlights, which I knew before I bought it, and I am now wondering if there is any way to do it aftermarket. I know the 11+ models usually can't do it because of programming, but has anyone had any luck.

If I can't make the lights automatic is there a way to install some sort of a kill switch on the driver door so that when the door is opened it turns the light off. This is what my old tundra did and I liked it. Once the driver door is opened and the truck shut off, the lights will not come back on until the truck is turned back on.

I have a basic idea of what I'm doing when it comes to wiring but please give as detailed instructions as possible
