Anzo Switchbacks - Canada
#11
So I ordered from a place here in my home town; its through a contact I have who has a truck parts store. They had to order it through a supplier / distributor sort of thing but I got a decent deal with freight included. Not as good of a deal from 4x4trucks (with exchange and shipping I think it worked out to $850...sorry guys, maybe next order...LED tail lights are on my radar but all the chat on another thread regarding electrical wiring kits, resisters, condensation concerns, etc. is making me a bit nervous) but if I have any issues with them, I know my contact will send them back no questions whatsoever. They are on back order but I have heard I should see them in roughly 3 weeks.
There was also another place in my home town that lists Anzo products on their website and when I called them with ANZO's part number, their database told them that product had been discontinued???!!! I told them I highly doubt that so I hung up and called ANZO direct...of course they are not discontinued, they just started selling them the last 12 or so months!
There was another place in Western Canada that had stock I thought but they would not ship to me since they do not take credit card over the phone. If I was in the town, I would have had them in about 2-3 days; they were coming out of their warehouse in BC. Price was $900CDN plus tax.
Once I get mine and install them, I can let this thread know how my install went...Anzo makes it look pretty easy, but I find that is never in fact the case. We shall see.

Ya I ordered some through tdotperformance when then had a sale. I just wanted ended up going with the first gen as I didn't feel it was necessary to spend the extra $150 for the switchback portion. I got a really good deal through them as they had some promotion codes after New Years and free shipping. Came to$780 or something
Just got my 4x4 LEDs so I just wired them in and put silicon on the holes for the relocation kits. Should be in sometime this week when I get time.

Found On Road Dominating
I bought my KC Hilites light bar from them. It was a special order and nil return as well. thought this was weird as it was advertised on their site. I did call them for some technical info.......not helpful at all. All in all was a good experiance.

Mrconn... we'd give you guys a deal but honestly you are going to get KILLED absolutely KILLED in shipping and exchange rates. It's bad enough with the prices you pay for shipping on a 3lb box, now talk about a... what is it... 50 pound box possibly? Ohhh yeah forget about it.
Hey we're willing to ship them up there but you are in the same boat as the folks in Hawaii and Alaska... We shipped a pair of anzos to a customer in Alaska.. he paid about $150 in shipping USD. CRAZY expensive. Then throw in the customs fees... take a $500 item and since it's not made in Canada or the USA you'll get hit with customs as well... so yeah... we'd love to help you guys out but it's such a big item it's best to try and find a Canadian dealer who can buy from a Canadian distributor.
The XHP kits however we try and work with you guys on. Not going to say how publically but we do work with you folks on those.

^^Ya i bought my leds from 4x4 and got the xhp50. You won't be disappointed. Great service and super quick shipping given that I'm in Yukon and he's on the other side of the states. Only took 5 business day. Came just as quickly as my anzos did from tdot's shipping base in Edmonton lol.
Only thing is I wished the infinity LED cubes I bought were whiter and not so blue so they'd match the headlights now. Either way witch to anzos, buy the LED's XHP50 and you won't be disappointed in the light output.

So my Anzo Switchbacks showed up today. Will give installation a go on Friday or the weekend.
Watched the videos on line and looks pretty straight forward! Only Question I have is should one be disconnecting the battery to prevent any electrical shorts/issues or is that for when you tap into the electrical more so on the LED side of things and using resistors and such? They don't mention it in the videos so ....??
I will keep reading threads but I may be searching for a while.
