I've been using a kit like this from Amazon for the past 18 months. It comes with a switch and some wiring.

where did you tap the power from? I want to tap to the door so when doors open, it lights up the bed

I went to the battery and use the switch that came in the kit. I assume you are installing on your 2018? IDK which color wires you need to tap into. Maybe go to the "General Discussion" section and ask the question. Which wires in the lower rocker is power and ground for the dome lights on the 2018? Now if you are going under the bed rail on your 2018 this kit probably won't work for you because the bedside is too close to the lip of the rail. The over priced kit from F150LEDS.COM may be a better route and they tell you which wires you need to tap.
