2018 switchback bulb question.
So, the weather finally broke long enough here to do something to the truck. I ordered a set of switchback LEDs on Ebay last month.
all of the research I've done lead me to believe that a 7444NA is basically a 7443 base with more lighting. Everything I see on Amazon states 7444na, but when ordering the size, it reverts to 7443.
Once I tried to install, it wouldn't fit whatsoever. The actual "chip" part was too short, and the base widened out too soon for it to clip in all the way. I even tried to dremel the base down enough for it to seat all the way. I got them to fit inside and work, but they weren't fitting tightly. Even tried some electrical tape around it, with no luck. I was worried they'd rattle loose over any rough roads.
Has anyone changed their 2018 bulbs yet, and what did you use?

this is what I bought for my 17, same socket for the 18. I used forscan to turn off the hyper-blinking, I didn't want to wire in a resistor.
