How is the second set holding up?

I have a question, I bought these taillights and was wondering if the drl part work during the day or only when lights are on. I turned off the drl at the dash panel, must that be on for these to function as drl during the day. Thanks

Only when the lights are on. They really wouldn't be very noticeable in the daytime anyways.

The Red trim of the taillight should be able to be on all of the time if you use Forscan to change your DRLs to parking lights instead of Lo-beams.

Any updates on how these are holding up? How bright are they compared to stock tails when brakes are on?

So I pulled the trigger and bought a set, just installed them today. Fit and finish is good, about as good as OEM from what I could see. The lights fit fine but did rub on the body minorly in a few spots within the tail light cut outs. I just sanded the edges down a bit and all good. They appear to be every bit as bright as the OEMs since they use clear plastic instead of smoked. The right one showed condensation as soon as I installed it on the truck which was sitting in direct sunlight, ~ 82 degrees out. Seems to slowly be baking away, I’ll keep an eye on them and report back as I go. Now for some pics.

Condensation

Not a good comparison, the OEM is totally washed out by direct sunlight.

Running lights.

Brakes on.

These things are bright! They look great, and if anything are probably a good safety upgrade. Standard tail lights are usually completely lit up as running lights and simply glow brighter when turn signal or brakes are
activated. These use the edge lighting as the running lights as shown in everyone’s pics, and the brake/turn indicator lights remain off/black unless activated. So the difference between running lights and brake/turn is much more pronounced. Nice. The only thing I don’t love so far (besides the condensation) is the reverse lights. They are also super bright but the project further back rather than down and outward like the stockers did. Makes it hard to back up using the mirrors, and it seems to wash out the back-up camera. May just take some getting used to, but first impressions are that I can’t see as well backing up.

Condensation was gone this morning. Washed the truck, and the condensation did not return. Some pics below, Blue Jeans with black Anzo tails. Pic heavy! My photo skills stino.
