Default 1987 LED headlights

1987 F150
My headlight assemblies are fairly good for being 34 years old but I'd like to get LED headlights. I bought two different brands and had to return them because I can't fit the bulb retainer on them. I just got another pair because the picture didn't show the cord, so now I'm stuck again. Had anyone put LEDs in an 8th generation f150 without making a bunch of modifications it know of a light brand that doesn't have the LED cord on the side right in the way? Picture shows what I'm dealing with here

I think they all have the cord, because the cooling fan is in the rear of the bulb where you would normally plug them in. DD and Morimoto bulbs are the same way, and they're high end.
