Default Why I traded up to F350

Jobs like this make me realize more and more why a 350 was a better option for me. My normal tows are the GN horse trailer which was fine with the 150, but bigger trailer soon to come meant bigger truck. Since I now have the bigger truck bigger jobs seem to be popping up all the time. This weekend we moved 3 four ton loads of gravel in a 5k(empty) dump trailer. 13k loaded on a pintle hook no worries about WDH etc, just hook up, check the electric brakes and go. Love my SD its a beast!

We'd rather bring a stick to a gun fight and complain about it. I can pull that trailer with the F150 with two cords of firewood and get the job done for short distances but I don't do it every day,

That is why they make 'em. I don't know which is worse, the guys who try to pull a 28' travel trailer with a Tacoma or the guys who buy a Super Duty diesel that never haul anything heavier than a set of golf clubs. Buy the right tool for the job.

The SD does make the big jobs seem small. My 150s have all been great trucks. I have worked them to their limits and often beyond, but now having the SD really makes me realize having the right truck for the right job is a much better idea than overworking the wrong truck.
