best thing is to go weigh your truck. It eliminates the guessing.

I did have the truck weighed, I just wasn't sure if I then subtract then number from my GVWR to get remaining payload? The truck weighs 6520 with my wife, son, myself and full tank a gas. So as it stands that leaves 1130 in payload with a GVWR of 7650.

That's exactly it. So now load up your truck with less than 1130lbs of junk (including tongue weight if towing) and you're set.

Just got my 2016 last Wednesday.

XLT 5.0l, crew cab, 4WD, 5.5' bed, 3.73 locker, 36 gallon gas tank, 301A package, integrated brake controller, black side steps, and tow package.

GVWR = 7000 lbs
FGAWR = 3450 lbs
RGAWR = 3800 lbs
Payload = 1890 lbs
GCWR = 16,200 lbs = 10,940 lbs Tow rating
Vehicle weight = 5110 lbs

Was that 5110lbs at the scale, or what the sticker reads?

I added this to the payload spreadsheet, let me know if you don't want your data on it.

That's fine. BTW, when you use the same front and rear percentage of vehicle weight, and subtract that from the axle weight, you get the same difference as a previous generation having the Max Tow Package axle ratings.

Just as I thought all along, that all trucks now get the added payload and axle ratings of the previous Max Tow Package.

It's from the Tread Act Loading sticker, that has the payload configured from GVWR and vehicle weight with all factory options added and a FULL tank of gas, then weighed at the factory.

My payload in sig
Not sure about the US Brochure but the Canadian brochure says this (so I assume payload does not include the driver)

"Conventional Towing Notes: Trailer tongue
load weight should be 10–15% of total loaded
trailer weight. Make sure that the vehicle
payload (reduced by option weight) will
accommodate trailer tongue load weight,
and the weight of passengers and cargo
added to the towing vehicle. The addition of
trailer tongue load weight, and the weight of
passengers and cargo, cannot cause vehicle
weights to exceed the rear GAWR (Gross Axle
Weight Rating) or GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight
Rating). These ratings can be found on the
vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Label.
Maximum capabilities shown are for properly
equipped vehicles with required equipment and
a 150-lb. (68-kg) driver. Weight of additional
options, equipment, passengers and cargo must
be deducted from this weight.
For additional
information, see your Ford of Canada Dealer."
