Default Weight Distribution Hitch

I have a tent trailer that has a tongue weight of 300 to 400 pounds when loaded. I have pulled it with no problems but someone told me I should use a WDH. It is 18 and have feet long when tent is down. I have a 2021 with 6.5 box and Heavy Tow Package. My payload is 1860 pounds.3.5 EcoBoost
WHat do you guys who tow a lot think
Thanks

I dont see any need to add a WDH to that type and weight of trailer, especially if it's one of those single axle units that is low profile when folded down.

Well within Ford's specs for just using the ball mount.
You'll drive yourself crazy if you start listening to everyone's opinion.
I have to ask you, if I gave you advice from my barstool would you take it as gospel? Instead, I post here from the barstool using my smart phone. <winks>

Safe travels.
