no wire rubbbing or picked. The bulbs housing lenses are removeble. Thinking it may be the connector but not sure

Do you have a test light? If so test the pins on the truck plug. Test them using the ground on the plug. If problem persists, check again with the ground on a good part of the truck frame and see if it’s any different. If it still persists, the problem isn’t the trailer. If the plug Tests ok, I would take that lens off of the left turn bulb housing on the trailer and look in there. Old school incandescent light bulbs?

Probably somewhere else but rewired my 5x8 utility trailer today plugged in the 4 pin connector and lights come on. However, when I turn left turn signal on, both turn signals on utility trailer blink very dim. When left turn signal left on the left light wires on utility trailer become very hot and the pin connector began to melt for that side.

When I turn signal on the right it works perfectly fine.

I have checked the ground wire and it is solid.

i have checked fuses all seem to be working fine
check to see if the lights are properly grounded. You may be grounding through the other bulb.
