Default Using BOTH Trailer Plugs??

Own a 2015 F150 and for safety added a 60" LED tailgate brake light. I love this thing and it was plug and play into the 4 prong trailer plug.

QUESTION: Can I leave that pluged in and use the 7 pin plug for my boat trailer??

I have done this with my 13 with a slide in camper----4 pin plug and a 14ft boat with a 7 to 4 pin adapter...the 4 pins only work the lights...signal/park and ground....

I don't see why not. Do you know what the draw on the light bar is? I doubt its more than 2-3 amps.

Actually the LED Bar takes less than 2 amps at full draw. I bought the 7 pin to 4 pin adaptor like the pic above for the boat. Thanks guys for ther esponse. I'll give it a try - worst case a blown fuse I suppose...

You mean like this, I have the strip plugged into the 4 pin and the 7 pin for the trailer plugged into the 7 pin works fine. Only thing, is I had to bust off the cover for the 4 pin, because you can only open one cover at a time.
