Default Tri Ball opinion

Usually don't tow with my 2011 F150, but would like to be prepared if I need to. Probably wouldn't tow anything bigger than a utility trailer or U HAUL. Was going to buy a ball mount with a 2" drop and 2" ball at a local parts store until I saw a Tri Ball mount. Looks like a great idea, but was wondering if a mount without any drop will work for this application. Anyone have experience towing with a Tri Ball mount on a stock F150?

I use a tri ball for the 2inch and 1 3/8 when I tow the car trailer 2 5/16 I use my two inch drop hitch. the other stuff is very small trailer but you should try to tow the trailer level not be noise high like the tri ball does.

^^^^^ I agree in most cases the tri ball is to high for a small to medium trailer. If you need more than 1 size ball you can buy 2 complete ball and draw bar assembly's for the price of a tri ball or if cash is no worry spring for a setup that has multiple ball's and is height adjustable

Yes. 1 7/8 is smaller trailers and 2 5/16 will be your bigger trailers. My b&w 6" with 2" and 2 5/16" is invaluable
