I thought that I would start a thread to share my towing experiences. I just placed an order for a PJ B5 buggy hauler 16' flavor with GVWR of 9990. The anticipated of the (trailer + my jeep) is (2.6+4.7)=7.3k lbs. Important specs of my truck are in the sig. I'll update this thread when the trailer comes in
That should be a good set up. Your truck will have plenty of power to tow it and you will benefit greatly from not having the sidewalls of a travel trailer = more aerodynamic.

Thanks for the confirmation. This community is where I learned how to select a properly rated trailer/truck.
I have been shopping for a 20 ft trailer probably going with a 7K or 10K not sure yet. July 2020 will be pulling FJ Cruiser over a 1,000 miles one way to Moab UT. I to have gotten a lot of useful information off this forum also.
I don't know how "handy" you are but I zip cut my jacking stand cranks out and moved them further back welding in a cross member.
This way my tailgate doesn't get dented when opening tailgate with trailer connected.

Just my 2 cents...nice trailer tho!
Good idea to do that. I also have looked at several makes that really set back the jack from the factory so you don't hit the tailgate when it is down. I am definitely buying one of those so I don't have to worry about a dented tailgate.
