Default Trailer Lights Help

Hi guys I am new to this Forum. My question is I have a small Bass Tracker. The Trailer lights work on when hooked up to my brothers F-150. When I hook up to them in my 2010 F-150 the lights or blinkers on trailer wont come on. I have the 4 wire flat connector. I was thinking it might be a fuse but have no idea which one to check on my truck. Any help or advice would be awesome thanks yall !!!

No none of the lights work on the trailer. The trailer lights did work when it was on my brothers truck. Im thinking the problem has to be somewhere on my truck a fuse or the wiring ?

Check the ground on the trailer. Sounds like it may be trying to ground through the ball. Get a test light and check the truck's plug just to be sure.

I will guess that your trailer (along with nearly all boat trailers) is grounding through the ball. Ever see the blinky lights on a trailer, that is why. Grounding through the ball is not at all reliable. Find the ground wire on the trailer side of the wiring harness and ground it to the frame.

Default Thanks

Wow i feel so stupid. I bought the truck it already had the tow package on it. I went out and bought the ball and the ball mount never even checked the ground wire.
