You could always take the wdh bars off on your last leg up to your property. WDH would certainly help during the basic towing and hwy travel.

I was gonna get a blue ox but then I looked at lol the pictures of people selling them used down here and they were all rusted up pretty bad.

appreciate the heads up, I didn’t know about them wearing out but it makes sense if it’s flopping all over the place. Sounds like it’s more of the sleeves causing the issue.

yea, just my road. It’s 12 percent grade at its steepest (according to the off road thing in my dash) up to the top and down to the river on the other side. About 2 miles of one lane gravel with 4 hairpin turns.
Just for general information the angle on the dash is in degrees not percent.

11 degrees as shown is actually closer to 20% (19.4)

That is really steep!

I knew it was steep but not that steepThere is one road out there that registered 18 on the dash. I only did it once, scared the **** out of me coming back down on gravel covered with leaves.

Interested to see if the WDH helped. On the other hand, how often are you going to encounter that sort of wind? IMHO, WDH just add a whole hassle factor that in a lot of cases simply isn't warranted. Some people have successfully used shims on their receiver tubes but often times they end up falling out.

I’m gonna set it all up this weekend although I’m not gonna have the wind to test its true capability. My thinking is I can carry the stabilizer bars with me and if it gets crazy I’ll throw them on. I really think the slop was the major player when the trailer starter swaying though.

Come to Kansas, you'll have 15-25 mph wind 9 out of 10 days, it's a rare occasion to have no wind during the day. Usually dies down around 7pm.
