Replacement module came, still same error. Of course I reset battery etc etc.

Man this sucks.

Confirm that you have the correct parts for your truck..

Did you do the check that Wicked mentioned? If so, I would suggest pulling the module and controller, and checking the pins for corrosion. Clean them up, install a smidge of dielectric grease, and hook back up. Do the same for the connectors at the rear of the truck, those are known to cause issues. Use a lot more grease on those connectors.

I'd also suggest getting an MX adaptor and FORScan, and checking the codes yourself. Don't pay the dealer for simple fixes and mods you can easily perform. Don't worry, the forscan tutorial is great, and honestly, the techs at most dealers don't have any more clue about IDC than you will have about FORScan.

Yes I ordered the USB cable version. Will try it saturday. Dealer doesn't wanna hear anything about forums or scan tools etc etc

Also ordered another dash controller to see if I just have a bad part. All this stuff is new and there is no corrosion, I will grease the 7 pin.

Ill report back

Got the Forscan module and everything set up. Both trailer options are enabled. I was so hopeful that was it.

Last thing is replacing the actual brake controller in the dash. Man I could just scream.

Is there an RV center near you? They usually have a plug to stick in that will identify faults. OR you could enlist some help and check things at the bumper plug with a voltmeter. The pin out is standard and an easy Google search. I suggested this before but you went off half cocked.

My bad wicked ace, I apologize if I offended you in some way. Just a bit frustrating, as I put a lot of time and money to get this all going....and of course the (presumed) easiest part is a nightmare. Story of my life.

I appreciate your help and all the info here.

Will try to get to an RV place tomorrow and see if they can help at all. Will report back.
