Default Trailer Brake Controller Help

I recently replaced the integrated trailer brake controller on my 2016 Ford F150 because the brake lights were staying on. Now they work only with the manual override on the controller. When I press the brakes, the lights do not come on. I have also replaced the position switch at the top of the brake pedal. What should I do?

Please explain your comment, I just recently had the OEM ITBC added to my 23' STX, thinking that is something that would have been done as part of the installation, but aren't familiar with what this programming consists of? I haven't used this new addition yet.

Did you add it or your dealer? If the dealer, they would have used their IDS software to program.

If done at home, Forscan is needed.

It needs to be programmed to work.

Thanks. The dealership installed the ITBC the invoice states "Performed towbar configuration". Sounds like I will be getting the Forscan as well sometime, what else can this tool do?
