Default Trailer brake control

Had dealership flash my new trailer controller I in stalled. Have a question. All the way on ten and I can feel it tug but not like it should. I’ve seen a post that shows you can also set it too low, med, high. Does my 2011 XLT super crew have this option.

You’d have to look through settings in the trailer brake menu in your dash. On my 2017, it does have the selectable output in the dash settings.

What speed were you going? It’s also going to be velocity sensitive so it applies a lot less braking if you’re going slower.

During initial setup at 25mph. Can’t find it in my dash screen under towing or trailer braking

Has it worked before with other trucks or brake controllers. Have you adjusted the brakes on the trailer?

If it's new, you likely have to burnish the brakes. Mine barely worked until I did so.

Thanks. I’ll try that before I adjust the brakes.
