Merlyn. (Or anyone else) what two things do i hold my multimeter against to test the ground? I did notice some corrosion so I sanded down the metal, cleaned the wires and reinstalled. Still getting the chime. Still hearing hydraulic pump running when I press the brakes and operate the hand controller. I only hear chime when sliding controller. No error messages on productivity screen, just the normal brake pop-up showing the gain and how far I am moving slider.

So.....dumb question. Is there any chance it is supposed to chime when the slider alone is pinched?

My ‘19 F150 did it, as does my ‘19 F350. I always give the trigger a squeeze to ensure the trailer brakes are engaging when I start out. It chimes every time and the output meter pops up. The trailer brakes work fine when I do this little test and I never thought the chime was indicative of some type of issue. There is no chime when depressing the truck’s brake pedal but I do get the ITBC output meter with a bar or two highlighted under normal braking conditions.
