John T here. 2020 F150 Supercrew, 2.7 EB, 10 speed, 3:55 axle ratio. Will be hauling a vehicle on a trailer, est 6,000 lbs. Est 800 lbs in cab/bed. Can someone tell me how much tongue weight I should use for this haul?
Thanks.
Also, GVWR is 1630.

@SpencerPJ Didn't even see this one -OP has 3 threads with this question.
I, as with many, answered the towing thread version. Scrolling through new threads still (yesterday), saw another very active thread.
I like to provide data that contradicts myself sometimes when I see the same question asked in 2 locations. I figure if the person can create confusion, I'll help out and make it even more confusing.

I believe you have your answers already, but for clarity note that your GVWR is not 1630. That is your truck's cargo carrying capacity - aka payload capacity. That is how much weight your truck can carry, in the bed, the cab and on the hitch as tongue weight. Ford calculated that 1630 by subtracting the weight of your truck when it rolled off the line (plus the weight of a full tank of fuel) from your truck's GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) which, as I recall from your first post, is 6300 or so. The GVWR is the maximum Ford says your truck can weigh.
Agree that you are confusing things by posting variations of the same question in several threads.
