Default Which towing pkg on 2022 Lariat w/ Powerboost Build?

Hi,

I am configuring a 2022 Lariat to submit a custom order, and I'm confused about the 3 tow package options, specifically, what are the differences between the:
- Tow Technology Package - $880
- Trailer Tow Package - $1,090
- Max Trailer Tow Package - $1,995

Specifically, I'm building a SuperCrew with a 6-1/2' box, 4x4, with the 3.5L Powerboost Full Hybrid V6 Engine. I want to be able to pull a camper trailer in the future, but I don't own one yet, so I don't know the weight. I'd like to ensure that I am configuring my new truck to be able to tow as much as possible.

Looking at the Max Trailer Tow Package, it includes options that are either already included with the Powerboost engine & 4x4 (the 3.73 Electronic-locking differential), or aren't available with that engine (the 36 gallon fuel tank). Are there any other features included in this package that make it worth the extra $900 over the Trailer Tow Package?
Do either of the Tow packages include upgraded cooling features? The description on the website says nothing.
Do both of the higher packages include the Tow Technology Package? (They seem to, because I must select only one of the 3 options, but would like confirmation).
Do any of these packages include the telescoping Trailer Tow mirrors?

Thanks in advance for any information shared!

This topic has been discussed numerous times on this forum. To get a good sense of the opinions here, please spend some time researching your questions. The meat and potatoes answer is that max tow is not considered a good deal on a PowerBoost. If you want to tow anything substantial, you’ll need the trailer tow package, not just the tech package. And finally, you will ultimately be constrained by your payload capacity in a PowerBoost. Best of luck filling in the gaps!

If you want to configure it to tow as much as possible, don't get the Powerboost. Because of payload.

This has indeed been discussed a lot. My opinion is that the max trailer tow is an unwise expense on a Powerboost 4x4. You already get an electronic locking 3.73 rear and you already get the only available gas tank size of 30 gallons and whatever is up with the axles etc, the powerboost 4x4 has plenty...especially considering the payload limitations vs the other turcks. And you get the rest of the stuff that you would 'need' with the regular tow package 53A.

IIRC, I'm pretty sure a Powerboost with trailer tow has upped cooling.

I ordered my PB with regular trailer tow for the above reasons. And no FX4, since IMO most of what it has to offer is the axle

Max trailer two IMO probably only makes sense for 5.0 or 3.5 trucks, without FX4, who will be towing. Then you get the axle and fuel tank along with the rest.

Agreed with the two replies above - based on reading similar things on this forum and elsewhere as I researched options for my ‘22 Lariat Powerboost order, I got the Trailer Tow Package (not Max) as I did not see much benefit with the PB.

No, tow mirrors are not included with any of the tow packages and must be added to your build if you want them.

I also got "Trailer Tow Package" after exploring all options.

The Powerboost with the rear locker AND tow/tow tech packages has everything that comes on the Max Tow except for the 2mm larger rear brakes. The only real way to know is to weigh your truck with your stuff in it and then subtract that from the GVWR. For my part, I'm using the Max Tow figure because I'm upgrading my rotors and pads with EBC components and good trailer brakes (not suggesting that you do that, just letting you know where I went after the same mental exercise).
