Looking to get the most out of a travel trailer possible and have no issues pulling long haul. What weights do I look at??

Start with the sticker on the door showing gvwr and gcwr. The hauling capacity will likely be your limiting factor as it will limit the tongue weight of the trailer. That's as good a place as any to start. If you comb through this section, you will find a lot of information on how to determine how much trailer you can handle and, once you choose a trailer, recommendations for a weight distributing hitch and how to set it up properly.

Its not 2060, that is the absolute maximum possible(truck with no options). Being that you have an XLT it should be more in the 17-1900 lb range depending on options.

There should be a yellow sticker just next to the GVWR sticker that has the payload. It will say something like, "The total weight of occupants and cargo shall not exceed 1xxx lbs."

For me.....the payload is the first limiter for me...then the rear GAWR. I get NO where close to what Ford says I can legally tow.

As you were told by the first reply, if you read the existing threads in this section of the forum, all your questions are answered.

True, but that would probably take long to get an exact answer. Searching being specific sometimes can be very difficult and so searching broad can take a while to look for what i exactly need. Posting this did not hurt anyone. ty

Mass-hole is correct. The GVWR sticker on the door jamb has a line that states 'the maximum weight of occupants and cargo should not exceed X,XXX lbs'. From there, figure out the weight of all the occupants, any aftermarket parts you've added, tools, luggage, etc. that will be in the truck when you tow the trailer, and subtract it from the cargo weight displayed on the sticker. What you have left is the highest potential tongue weight of your trailer. Unfortunately, it's not nearly as simple as, 'Ford says the truck is rated to tow 10,000 lbs'. The more you research, the more you will find how fictitious and misleading the manufacturer's claims really are (and not just Ford, they're all guilty of it).

You were also told to find the yellow sticker on the door jamb. Have you done that?

It clearly shows your payload maximum, 1,643 on my sticker.

The bumper hitch, as shown by BadAltitude, will show you the max that the hitch can take - which will be 500 pounds without a weight distributing hitch, and more with one - but again - PAYLOAD or axle maximums will stop you from maxing out the WDH capacities.

This isn't a ___ is the answer, it's not that easy. To tow safely, and keep your family and our families safe, you need to do some work.
