Default Tow Package

I have a 2012 5.0 liter SCAB. If my truck came with a receiver hitch do I have the tow package, or what should I look for to determine if I have a tow package? Thanks

Most likely yes it does, do you have a 4/7 way plug at the rear near your hitch? Also look for the transmission cooler up front, all 2009-14 with trailer tow had an external additional transmission cooler. Lastly you can look up the window sticker by VIN number on line and it will tell you.

X2, look up the window sticker with the vin#. Every truck has a trailer hitch.

if you bought it pre-owned, the previous owner could've added the hitch. Like mentioned, look up the window sticker. No, not every truck has a hitch. You can buy a brand new Lariat without a tow package or hitch receiver. (which is insane to me)

I'm sorry, I thought all trucks had a hitch. Obviously I stand corrected.

I don't know how to look at vin, I know one way I was doing it, take the link below and change the vin to your vin# http://www.windowsticker.forddirect....EW1EG3JKC39225

One of the trucks I looked at was a 2018 F150 Screw 3.5L Ecoboost and it didnt have a hitch on it. All I could say about that is how stupid it was for a dealer to ever order a truck without at least the class 4 hitch package. At least with that you get upgraded cooling fans, upgraded radiator, hitch and wiring.

There are three center sections for the bumper. One that has a receiver style hitch, one that has a heavy duty receiver style hitch, and one that has bracing so you can mount a tow ball in the bumper, but no receiver style hitch.
