Question Tow Mirror Question

I have a 2002 XLT F-150 extended cab with the standard stock mirrors. I am wondering if it is possible to upgrade them to the extendable towing mirrors found on the F-250 with the same body style. Has anyone ever attempted this or done this upgrade? All thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!

I put aftermarket ones on my 20. Bought them on Amazon. They were around $175/pair. They look just like the OE ones that are ridiculously expensive. I have an XL with no power or heat but the tow mirrors have the signal in them and it worked. They were plug and play, exact same mounting. Only things I did was drill a hole in the bottom passenger side mirror for the outside temp sensor and watched a video on YouTube that showed where to glue some sponge material so they wouldn’t whistle on the highway. I don’t know if they actually needed that but I didn’t want to do the install twice. I’ve been very happy with them and they’ve been on there 2 years now. You can spend a lot more for other aftermarket ones but for me, they’re way too expensive.
