Does the 08 lariat not have a tow/haul button, just the OD off?

 

I don't believe it has tow/haul mode, it just has the overdrive off button on the end of the shifter on the column (or the side of the shifter if it's in the center consol) I don't know if they had center console shifter in 08.

 

I don't know about an '08, but the '09 F-150 definitely had a tow/haul mode. Here is a good article about an '09 F-150 using tow/haul mode to tow a big cargo trailer from CA to the Rockies:

On edit: Further research indicates that tow/haul mode was first available in the '09 F-150. '04 thru '08 did not have it.
