Default Is this too much to tow?

I will be making an approximately 500 mile trip towing an SUV with a U-haul auto transport trailer.
The truck is a 2015 F-150 SuperCrew XLT 3.5L V6 EcoBoost. The official towing capacity for that year with that engine says between 9,900-12,200 pounds depending on how it's equipped.
The SUV is a little over 4,200 pounds and the U-haul trailer is approximately 2,200 pounds, gross trailer and load weight being around or a little over 6,400 pounds.

Are there any issues with towing this load?
The two reasons I'm a little worried - the U-haul trailer configurator says it is not recommended to tow this combo when I put the info in.
There was also someone on Reddit saying something something about how the transmission would get ruined? I can't imagine they put completely different transmissions in different trims/versions of this year's truck.

Anyone with a lot of towing experience, please provide input!

Transmission ruined is a dumb comment by someone who has no clue.

your truck can can safely pull that weight, but you need to watch your payload. I’m not sure what the tongue weight of all that’s going to be, but probably a lot.

That, and you won’t be able to use a weight distribution hitch with that u haul trailer.

If the U-Haul configurator says no, then U-Haul may not rent you the trailer. They'll ask for that info, and when they put it in deny the rental. If you mislead them, then any damage or liability from any issues rests totally with you. If you take their insurance, it likely won't pay out when they discover what you towed.

I find that odd, seems your truck would do that no problem. I'd stop by, or call your local uHaul.

Simple math. The tongue weight will exceed 500 pounds. There is no WDH.

When you rent a U-Haul trailer, it's empty. Biggest one is rated for 4,400 pounds GVWR. So, under 5,000 pounds, no WDH needed (yes, I know the tongue weight COULD be higher than 500).

For the vehicle trailer, by putting in the vehicle to be towed your exceeding towing vehicle's capacities.

Ah I see... so it's more of a tongue weight thing than total trailer load. That makes much more sense.

I'm actually trading in the SUV at my destination and towing a lightweight vehicle back (that "passes" the U-haul configurator), so I was already going to be heading in one direction with the truck, trailer, and SUV.
Just didn't want to have to drive both a truck + trailer and the SUV separately since I would already have the trailer.
I guess the best bet is just drive separately then.

Thank you!

A lot of bad info in the responses here.

Uhaul's auto transports are double axle trailers with the axles positioned to minimize tongue weight. My 3400lb Corvette put a little under 400lb on the tongue.

The auto transport has a GVW of 7500lb, not 4400. Max vehicle weight is 5290lb.

The configurator is a recommendation, not a rule. The franchise may or may not rent to you.

Did the configurator ask what hitch you had? When I rented one to haul a crown vic, which is probably a similar weight. They needed to verify I had a receiver hitch before they would rent the trailer. I believe the configurator uses the lowest towing capacity to determine what it can haul. I suggest checking with the local U-Haul rental location.

It makes you select a weight from a pick list, with the last option being '>10000lb'. You also have to select your cab configuration, bed length, engine, and number of driven axles.
