Had my first towing experience, towed my 5000lb toy hauler to my duck club. It seemed to like 4th gear with tow mode, I locked out 5th and 6 keeping the rpm at around 2500. ( I live in California where the speed limit for towing is 55 ) My truck seemed to like that power range and I got 11 mpg.

I'd say on the flat road or highway you cold disengage T/H mode and likely get better MPG. Or have you already tried this?

Nice that's how you do it. Let the engine rev a little. 2500rpm is in no way stressing that engine. I don't think lugging it in too high of a gear will help your mileage. I'm sure that toy hauler isn't very aerodynamic, I'd say 11mpg is about right.
