Stock shock replacement
Looking to upgrade my rear shocks on my 2020 Lariat, 35k miles. General performance not such an issue, looking to reduce bounce and sway while towing my modest 6k TT. I feel like the Bilstein 4600 is the best option, damn those yellow and baby blue boots are ugly. Any recommendations for better than oem, not lifted, I do not take off road, I just want a bit more shock when towing and not a brick when not towing.. Anyone tried KYB, Monroe or Gabriel, other?
I’m going to do 4600’s also. But the first thing I’m doing is painting them black.
I too am just doing the rears. I see no reason to mess with the fronts. 5100’s seem better for lifted purposes and 4600 for stock height. Later part is in reply to the second poster.

Or are you intimidated by a coil over strut???
Why does this bother you so much? Maybe someone just wants to upgrade the rear. Coil overs don’t intimidate me. I did the fronts on my old truck twice.
The color of my suspension doesnt bother me because Im not trying to show it off to other betas. If its yellow & blue or magenta and fuscia... all I care about is the damping. That is the reason you change shocks.
Also I have a little bit of experience with Bilsteins... as Im familiar with suspension tuning. So when you call their technical dept and speak with a qualified tech there... they will set a product up to your specifications & application. Hence my question about the 5100... because they can be tuned to a non lifted application. But lets just buy complimenting color components and hope for the best...eh???
.why are you evading the primary question I asked??? I could give 2 ****s what you do or dont do to your vehicle... Im amused by your justification is all.

Perhaps you arent qualified to answer such a technical question?
Some message boards have that rule... do not post unless you have relevant information contrary or otherwise. Im not here looking to make friendships... Im here for the discussion.
But lets resort to personal insults because you cant answer a simple question.
FYI... when you order custom valved shocks they fabricator will ask you for specific corner weights. Do you have access to a scale that can provide such data???
3 posts and you still havent answered the question. I would guess you are googling like crazy now.
