Default Snow Plow Package

Hey guys!

I'll be heading to my dealer next week to get a custom factory build order started on a 2020 F150 , and although I know how I want my truck built, there's just one thing I'm still debating... The snow plow prep package. I don't actually intend to mount a plow, but you never know I guess...

This is actually a cheap option, since it really is nothing more than higher rate front springs and a higher output alternator. I didn't see any on the lot with this option, nor have I driven one with this option.

To those that have seen or driven one with this option, I ask: How was the ride quality? Did the front end sit up a touch higher due to different spring rate?

Can't answer your question, but do find it interesting that the snow plow package or mounting a plow in no way impacts the 500lb weight carrying ability of the receiver. So much for that rating being impact of tongue weight lifting the front.

I wonder how much more we can tow with the heavier tow mirrors adding weight to the front axle? Front camera probably adds a few ounces, too!

I believe it also eliminates the 4Auto transfer case if you were going to be buying a Lariat or higher trim. Just something to consider.
