Default Side push when being passed by trucks

I just finished a 2800 mile road trip pulling my 17 ft 3000 lb. cargo trailer and when I was passed by either a semi or even a large SUV if would get a decent side push on my whole rig. It was not uncontrollable or scary, but I did have to be prepared for it. Would a WDH with a sway bar help with this or is it just normal. Most ppl are saying that no WDH is needed with this light of a trailer.

Totally normal to get a suck/push as a semi or big box truck goes by. Closer you are to each other the greater the effect. IF I happen to check my mirrors and see him coming I drift towards the shoulder and often don't feel anything.

You don't need a WDH, but a sway control bar would make a big difference.

Weight distribution hitch definitely helps with that

X2, you don't need WDH, but it certainly will help tighten up your whole mess.

Slow down when a truck passes to counter the wind turbulence.

I pull a 24' enclosed trailer with my truck. I have a WDH and I still get some push/pull with it. Nothing scary, but trucks do seem to sneak up on you when you can't just see them in your rear view mirror.
Thw trailer is 3400 lbs empty and I tow it with around 3500-4000 lbs of cargo. The truck push is much worse when I am empty.

Try coming up on a tractor trailer that happens to be going slower than you. It will feel like you are getting shook if you get too close. Of course, you get that same feel even if you aren't towing.

How does that Grey Wolf handle behind your truck in crosswinds and passing semis?
