Default Reverse Brake Assist

Guys I have a 21 f150 lariat. When I hook up my boat to tow. Every time I put it in reverse I get 3 chimes with an alert saying reverse brake assist not available. Is this normal. Seems stupid to have that alert as well as cross traffic alert.

is there a way to stop the alerts from happening

trucks these days are way to complicated with too many safety features

It's due to our reliance on technology that the reminders are required. Otherwise, you'll get people backing up, expecting the truck to save their *** and not doing their due diligence.

You can disable warning chimes while you are stopped and have your foot on the brake pedal. I just automatically hit the down button without even looking when a chime starts to turn it off.
